Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
Everything You Need to Know
Is Kush ERP cloud-based or installed on a server?
Kush ERP is fully web-based. It runs in any modern browser with zero installation. Access it from any device — laptop, tablet, or phone — from anywhere, including on mobile data connections common across Africa. No dedicated server required on your side.
Does it support SDG, USD and UGX currencies?
Yes. Kush ERP supports multiple currencies simultaneously. You can set currency per bank account, per project, and per transaction. The purchase request form, for example, supports both SDG and USD pricing per line item at the same time — essential for NGOs receiving international donor funds.
Can we manage multiple branches from one account?
Yes. Multiple branches are a core feature of Kush ERP. Each branch has its own users, data, and reports — while the Director has full cross-branch visibility from the central dashboard. Already deployed managing 6 branches in South Darfur, Sudan.
How many user roles does the system have?
Kush ERP has 8 role types: Director (full access), Finance, HR, Programmer (programme staff), Logistic, Employee, Manager, and Branch Admin. Each role sees only what is relevant to their work — no unnecessary access to sensitive data.
How long does it take to go live?
Most organisations are fully live within 1–2 weeks. This includes system configuration, data migration from existing Excel files, and staff training per role. The exact timeline depends on organisation size and complexity.
What happens after we go live? Is there support?
Yes. All plans include ongoing support. We continue to fix bugs, add features, and improve the system after go-live. Professional and Enterprise plans include priority support with faster response times.
Technical Questions
Technical & Features FAQ
What reports does Kush ERP generate?
30+ report types across all modules: Financial Report, Bank Report, Trial Balance, Budget vs Actual, Procurement Report (PR/PO/GRN combined), Payroll Report, Employee Report, Leaves Report, Donor Report, Assets Report, Depreciation Schedule, Bank Reconciliation, and more. All exportable to Excel and PDF.
How does the approval workflow work?
Most transactions follow a 3-level approval: Finance Review → Programme Review → Director Approval. Each level can approve, reject, or send back. Every action is logged with the user name and timestamp — full audit trail.
Does it work on mobile phones?
Yes. Kush ERP is responsive and works on mobile browsers. Staff in the field can submit requests, view their dashboard, and check statuses from any smartphone.
Can we attach digital signatures to documents?
Yes. Users can upload their signature image and attach it to official documents including payment vouchers, purchase orders, and payroll documents — eliminating the need to print, sign, and scan.
What is the depreciation method used for assets?
Kush ERP uses the Reducing Balance (Diminishing Value) method. The depreciation rate is applied to the remaining book value each year — not the original cost. You can generate 3, 5, or 10-year depreciation schedules and filter by asset type and branch.
Can we export reports to Excel and send to donors?
Yes. Every report across every module has a "Download Excel" button. The Excel files are properly formatted and ready to send directly to donors, auditors, or board members. PDF print is also available on all reports.
